Remove/install front wheel hub

Remove

1

Pull the brake drum (1) from the wheel hub (9)

Before removing the brake drum, mark the position on the hub and drum.

The bolts can be used for the removal of the brake drum.

Remove the bolts (2) and the hub cap (3)

Tighten the nut's lock bolt

Unfasten and remove the bearings fastening nut (6)



Remove the thrust washer (7)

Extract the wheel hub (9)

If the inner bearing (11) gets stuck in the axle's sleeve , it must be removed with the puller.

Remove from the wheel hub (9) the radial seal (12) and the inner bearing (11)



Install

Install in the wheel hub (9) the inner bearing (11) and the radial seal (12)

Lubricate with grease the inner bearing and the radial seal

Use a new radial seal.

Install the wheel hub (9) in the axle's sleeve

Install it carefully in order not to damage the seal or the axle sleeve 's thread.

Lubricate with grease and install the external bearing (8)

Supply the wheel hub with grease.



Install the thrust washer (7)

Install the bearings fastening lock nut (6) and adjust the axial play

When tightening the nut, turn continuously the hub.

Tighten the lock bolt (5) up to the prescribed torque



Supply the wheel cap (3) with grease



Install the joint (4), the hub cap (3) and the bolts (2)

Use a new joint.



Install the brake drum (1) fastening it provisionally with two wheel nuts ()
