Remove

Remove the front wheels

Install: After the first 50 to 100 Km, re-tighten the wheels fastening nuts.

Remove the disc brake's caliper

Remove the bolts (11) and the hub cap (10)

Unfasten the bolt (7) and remove the bearings fastening nut (8)



Remove the washer (6)

Extract the wheel hub (4)

Extract the outer tapered roller bearing (5) from the wheel hub (4)

Remove from the wheel hub (4) the radial seal (2) and the inner tapered roller bearing (3)



Check

Check the wear of the race ring's friction surface (1) and if necessary replace it

The race ring must be removed and replaced by a new one whenever it presents damages, worn parts or grooves on its surface.

Install

Install the race ring (1)

Only if replaced.

Install in the wheel hub (4) the inner tapered roller bearing (3) and the radial seal (2)

Lubricate with grease the inner tapered roller bearing.

Install the wheel hub (4) on the axle

Pay attention in order not to damage the seal.

Lubricate with grease the radial seal and race ring's friction surfaces

Lubricate with grease and install the external tapered roller bearing (5)

Supply the wheel hub with grease.



Utilize a suitable drift.

Install the thrust washer (6)

Install the bearings fastening lock nut (8) and adjust the axial play

When tightening the nut, turn continuously the hub.

Tighten the lock bolt (7) up to the prescribed torque

Supply the wheel cap (10) with grease



Install the joint (9), the hub cap (10) and the bolts (11)

Use a new joint.



Install the disc brake caliper

Install the front wheels
