1 | Turn off the main switch or disconnect the battery ground lead | Unscrew the ground lead bolt on the chassis, avoid removing the battery post terminals. | |
2 | Remover the plug (5) | Take precautions against the plug being expelled by spring loaded action. | |
Installing: Replace the sealing washer (4) and tighten the plug (5) to specified torque. | |||

3 | Remove the spring (3) and the plunger (2). | After cleaning the parts, carry out an inspection, if necessary replace the worn out parts. | |

Spring free length. | |||
Spring length under load. | |||
Opening pressure of valves (bar). | |||
Minimum oil pressure (bar) measured at the engine, with the coolant between 70°C and 90°C. | |||
