1 | Turn-off the master switch, or detach the battery negative lead | ||
2 | Remove the turbocharger air inlet pipe | According to engine model. | |
3 | Remove the safety lock (13) and detach the ball terminal (1) from the nut (12) | ||
4 | Remove the SCR system injection pipe | Only for vehicles fitted with CODE (MS5) BlueTec 5. | |
5.1 | Remove the nuts (7) and the bolts (8) from the fastening strap of the exhaust pipe (10) to the support (9) | Only for vehicles fitted with CODE (MS3) Euro 3 engine. | |
5.2 | Remove the six nuts (14) from the flange and the bolts (8) from the fastening strap of the exhaust pipe (10) | Only for vehicles fitted with CODE (MS5) BlueTec 5. | |

6 | Slacken the clamp (11) and detach the exhaust pipe (10) from the engine-brake throttle flange (2) | Installing: Clean the contact surfaces and check the clamp (11). If necessary, replace it. | |
7 | Remove the nuts (3) and the bolt (4) and lift off the heat shield (6) and the engine-brake throttle flange (2) | It is not necessary the remove the heat shield (6) for vehicles fitted with CODE (MS5) BlueTec 5 | |
Installing: Replace the nuts (3). | |||

8 | Remove the SCR system injection nozzle at the engine-brake throttle flange (2) | Only for vehicles fitted with CODE (MS5) BlueTec 5. | |
