Danger!

Risk of injuries and property damage when starting the engine while the gearbox is engaged. Risk of personal injury when performing work with the engine warmed up and running.

Make sure the gearbox is in the neutral position. Wear appropriate clothes and pay attention to the moving and hot parts of the engine.

Turn off the main switch or disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Loosen the screw on the stringer, avoiding loosening the posts.

Tilt the engine hood.

For vehicles with chassis: 386.0; 386.3; 388.0.

Open the back hood of the engine.

In vehicles (buses): 664.0; 664.1; 664.2.

Remove the screws (1) and washers (2), securing the supercharging air tube (7) to the intake manifold (3).



Remove the supercharging air tube (7) along with the joining pipe (5) and the sealing ring (6).

Install new sealing rings (6).

Remove the gasket (4).

Install a new gasket (4) and check the contact surfaces.

Install in reverse order.

Cap the turbocharger nozzle (8) and the intake manifold (3) to prevent impurities.
