Remove

1.1

Remove the engine flywheel

Vehicles with mechanical gearbox.

Remove the ring gear support

Vehicles with automatic gearbox.

Remove the radial retainer (1) with the lever (2)

Cover the crankshaft flange with a cloth for its protection. Do not damage the distribution housing.



Clean

Clean the distribution housing in the area of the radial retainer (1) removed from the engine flywheel flange or from the ring gear support flange



Check

4

Check the radial retainer bearing surface (1) in the engine flywheel flange or the ring gear support flange

 In the case there operation marks in the flywheel flange or in the ring gear support flange, replace the flywheel.



Install

5

Install a new radial retainer (1)

 Press the radial retainer (1) evenly, with the installation device (3).
