Compressed air drier - replacing granulate cartridges

Removal

Depressurize the air desiccator

Remove the granulate cartridge (1), utilizing an appropriate tool

Discard the cartridge containing granulated material ecologically, following the same legislation in force for the oil filter.

Installing

Clean the cartridge seat on the case

Sparingly grease the cartridge's sealing gasket and the sealing thread

Check the gasket and the sealing thread for damage.

Install the new cartridge manually in the desiccator case until the sealing gasket touches the case. Next, carry out new tightening through the specialized tool (about half of one turn)

Excessive tightening torque may damage the cartridge.

Pressurize the air desiccator filter and check if it is tightened

Control the next replacement, taking note in the maintenance control card.

Should there be leaks, depressurize the desiccator before redoing the tightening.
