Park the vehicle on level ground and apply the parking brake.

Before engine shutdown leave transmission in neutral.



During the oil change prevent dirt getting inside the transmission.

Drain

Clean the surroundings of the drain plug (1), of the filling neck (2) and remove them

Drain the oil from the automatic gearbox

The exchange must be made with the automatic gearbox in the operation temperature, this is between 71 - 93ºC.

During draining of the of the oil from the automatic gearbox, take care because the hot oil in contact with the skin provokes burns.

Catch the oil in a suitable container.

Verify the drained oil concerning its contamination; presence of water or metal particles.



If there are signs of water, verify the heat exchanger of the gearbox concerning inner leaks. The presence of metal particles indicates that the automatic gearbox suffered damages, therefore, it must be removed for examining and repairs, in this case the whole outer circuit must be carefully cleaned. Perform the repair works with revenues apart.

Remove the fastening screws (5) and remove the sump (6)

Remove the screw (12) and remove the filter (10), the pipe (9) and the sealing ring (8)

Governor filter cleaning

Clean the surroundings of the drain plug (3) and remove it together with the governor filter (4)

Wash the governor filter (4).

Check the governor filter (4) for usage condition, replace it if necessary.

Install the pipe (9) in the new filter set (10) and mount a new sealing ring (8)

Install the screw (12)



Install the screws (5) fastening the sump (6) with the joint (7)

Clean the surface of contact. Use a new joint.

Manually install the screws (5), following tighten the screws alternately from the center to the ends.



Install the drain plug (1)



Install the filling tube (2)

Install the drain plug (3) together with the governor filter (4)

Install a new sealing ring.
