Retrofit horn electrical wiring harness

Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted

Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut.

Route electrical wiring harness with corrugated hose (1) from electronics compartment to horn installation location (H2), fix in place using cable tie, and connect electrical connection to horn (H2).

Detach electrical connection for cab chassis (X3.1) from electronics compartment and connect electrical line (BK/YE_RD) into contact cavity 18.

Connect electrical line (BN) to terminal stud for circuit 31 (2).

 Use corresponding electrical contact.

Interior retrofitting

Route electrical wiring harness with insulating tubing on existing vehicle wiring harness from electronics compartment to electrical connection for left steering column switch connector (S25 X1), and fix in place using cable tie.

Detach left steering column switch connector (S25 X1) and detach electrical line (BK/YE GN) from contact cavity 11 and remove electrical contact.

 The electrical line (BK/YES GN) is no longer required, therefore, insulate the electrical line (BK/YE GN) and strap down to existing wiring harness using cable ties.

Detach electrical line (BK/YE GN) from contact cavity 14 of electrical connection for cab chassis (X3.1), and remove electrical contact.

 The electrical line (BK/YES GN) is no longer required, therefore, insulate the electrical line (BK/YE GN) and strap down to existing wiring harness using cable ties.

Connect new electrical line (BK/YE GN) into contact cavity 11 in left steering column switch connector (S25 X1).

Install horn/air horn selection switch (S29) and connect electrical connection.

Connect new electrical lines (BN and GY/YE) to cigarette lighter illumination (3).

 New electrical contact required for twin wire connector.

Connect new electrical line (BK/YE) into contact cavity 14 and new electrical line (BK/YE RD) into contact cavity 18 of the electrical connection for the cab chassis (X3.1).

Connect electrical connection for cab chassis (X3.1) into electronics compartment.
