Vehicles with code (871) are equipped with an additional capacitive sensor for the trunk lid opening/closing in the area of the rear bumper.
When working in the area of the rear end note that the trunk lid can be actuated unintentionally when the transmitter key is in the vicinity of the vehicle. This can also occur when workshop employees move below the vehicle when working on a lift or over a pit.
Workshop employees should not carry the transmitter key on their body when working in the area of the rear end. Ensure that the transmitter key is located outside the KEYLESS-GO transmitter range.
Failure to observe can result in injuries or damage to the vehicle.
