Special tools
Removal
1 Screw fixed caliper (10) off of front steering knuckle (9) and tie up in wheelhouse with welding wire.
2 Remove grease cap (1) from wheel hub with special tool (01).

3 Loosen bolt (3) on clamping nut (2).
4 Screw off clamping nut (2) and remove thrust washer (4).
5 Die Radnabe (6) mit den Kegelrollenlagern (5+7) und der Bremsscheibe von der Vorderachse abnehmen.
6 Pull inner tapered roller bearing and shaft seal out of wheel hub with special tools
(01+02).

Installation
1 Pack inner wheel bearing well with grease and install. Coat outer circumference of new shaft seal with sealant and drive into front wheel hub until flush with special tool (08).
Do not coat partially rubberized sealing rings with sealant.

2 Position wheel hub on front steering knuckle.
3 Insert outer wheel bearing (5).
4 Install thrust washer (4) and screw on clamping nut (2).
5 Adjust wheel bearing play and tighten bolt (3) on clamping nut (2).
6 Measure wheel bearing play by attaching special tools (02, 03 and 04) to front of wheel hub and pushing back and forth with force to measure. The wheel bearing play can be changed by loosening or tightening the clamping nut. Measure wheel bearing play only when screw on clamping nut is tightened, 10...15 Nm.

7 Screw fixed caliper (10) onto steering knuckle (9) and tighten.
