The certificate should be printed out in DIN A4 landscape format. The confirmation is to be submitted together with the registration papers on final inspection of the installation. The confirmation must be kept together with the registration papers.
The officially issued certificate is only available in the German/English version.
Detailed installation instructions must be handed out to customers who are installing their trailer hitch themselves (see Retrofitting and converting special equipment in WIS group 31.10). These must be submitted on final inspection. The vehicle owner's manual contains instructions for the operation and maintenance of the trailer hitch for the vehicle owner.
On certain vehicles, it is obligatory to install a more powerful fan for the engine cooling system (see EPC).
