The certificate should be printed out in DIN A4 landscape format. The certificate is to be submitted with the vehicle documents for installation acceptance. The certificate must be kept together with the registration papers.
The officially issued certificate is only available in the German/English version.

Detailed installation instructions are to be issued to customers who install their trailer hitch [AHV] themselves (see Retrofitting and converting special equipment in the WIS, Group 31.10). These must be submitted on final inspection.
On certain vehicles, it is a mandatory requirement to install an engine radiator or electric fan with a higher performance (see EPC).
