Purpose | The purpose of the temperature limiter (8) is to reliably protect the heater (1) against impermissibly high operating temperatures. At an operating temperature > 140 °C the control circuit board (4) interrupts the circuit for the fuel metering pump, switches the heater to the cooling phase with shut-off delay and then off completely. After an appropriate cooling time the heater is again ready for operation. | ||
Design | The temperature limiter consists of a bi-metal switch, which opens and closes the circuit to the control circuit board. |
