MODEL 210, 220
with CODE (855) TELE AID
with CODE (930) Taxi emergency call
for TELE AID emergency call
The status indicator in the TELE AID pushbutton switch (S93/3) checks the function of the TELE AID system.
Every time the TELE AID system is switched on the status indicator comes on for approx. 4 s and signals the readiness for TELE AID for an emergency call. Then the status indicator goes out.
If a TELE AID emergency call (not with taxi emergency call, code 930) is triggered, the state display starts to flash on and off (0.5 s on, 0.5 s off, ...) and the instrument cluster display shows a message. If it was not possible to transmit a TELE AID emergency call (data and voice) and no 112 emergency call the status indicator comes on and a message appears on the display of the instrument cluster. If a voice connection is completed the status indicator returns the same status as before the emergency call actuation and a message appears on the instrument cluster display.
If the TELE AID system is in the diagnosis mode the status indicator also starts flashing.
A TELE AID system error is present when the status indicator does not go out 5 s after switching on or when it comes on at a later time. A message then appears in the instrument cluster display.

Behavior of status indicator in the TELE AID pushbutton switch (S93/3)
Permanent illumination of the status indicator can have the following causes:
External error
Rollover sensor (B66) faulty
Power supply too low
No or incorrect SIM card installed
Communication with restraint system control unit (N2/7) interrupted
Communication with traction system control unit (N47)) faulty
TELE AID pushbutton switch (S93/3) fault
Error on emergency alarm system activate button (S62/6)) (only with code 930 Taxi emergency call)
Error on GPS reception (antenna system)
Reception over the TELE AID backup antenna (A2/50) or telephone antenna (A2/22, A2/49a1) interrupted
Internal error
GPS reception erroneous
Vehicle is not authorized or is in the progress of authorization
Memory defect on D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17)
The PIN (Personal Identification Number) has not been saved by the user in the D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17) (e.g. after changing the PIN number)
Integrated telephone transmitter/receiver in D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17) faulty
The D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17) can be coded using STAR Diagnosis so that the state display does not light up despite lack of any authorization (all other system errors will however be displayed).
The dealer should have the customer confirm in writing deactivation of the status indicator using a preprinted form.
