Overview
This document contains information on the functions, location and structure of the head unit control unit.
General
The head unit control unit is the central controller unit for the entertainment and communication systems integrated in the vehicle.
Depending on the equipment installed, the head unit control unit controls the following functions:
Multimedia system control
Radio mode
Media mode
TV mode
Smartphone integration
Telephone
Navigation
WLAN hotspot
Voice control
The head unit control unit is connected to the network architecture of the vehicle.
Location
The head unit is located in the instrument panel (e.g. on the driver's side or in the center) or under the right front seat.
