Function requirements, general
No overvoltage or undervoltage
Ignition "Off"
"OFF delay function" and "Locator lighting" function activated
Illumination switch in "AUTO" position
The SAM control unit sends the status of the "OFF delay function" and "Locator lighting" function to the fuse and relay module control unit (SRM). The fuse and relay module control unit (SRM) activates the left low beams (short range) and the right low beams (short range).
Headlamp switch-off delay (SWA), general
The following light functions are activated here:
Standing/parking lights actuation
Left low beam (short range)
Right low beam (short range)
The SWA function is comprised of the following subfunctions:
Function sequence for SWA (outer OFF delay function)
Function sequence for locator lighting (AFB)
Function sequence for SWA (outer OFF delay function)
The SWA function is activated by the driver after the engine has been switched off (change in circuit status from "circuit 15 ON" to "circuit 15R ON") for the configured period of time. The SAM control unit sends the circuit status "circuit 15" to the fuse and relay module control unit (SRM).
The fuse and relay module (SRM) control unit then activatesthe following functions:
Standing/parking lights actuation
Left low beam (short range)
Right low beam (short range)
Function sequence for locator lighting (AFB)
When unlocking the vehicle, the lighing on is switched on for the configurated period in seconds (time for the automatic relocking).
The SAM control unit sends the status of the central locking to the fuse and relay module control unit (SRM).
