Location

The relevant socket can be installed at the rear in the center console or in the trunk.

Task

A 230 V alternating voltage is supplied through the 230V socket.

A 115 V alternating voltage is supplied through the 115V socket.

The LED in the socket indicates the availability of the alternating voltage. The microswitch in the socket detects when a consumer is plugged into the socket. The DC/AC converter control unit supplies the microswitch with voltage. If a consumer is connected to the socket, voltage is switched through to the control input of the DC/AC converter control unit. The DC/AC converter control unit converts the DC voltage of the on-board electrical system into AC voltage.
