Function of mechanical parking brake
When the hand brake lever (1) is actuated, the mechanical parking brake is applied. The mechanical force is transferred to the wheel brake by the bearing, adjusting bridge (2) and the divided brake cables (3).
The parking brake consists of a drum brake within the wheel hub.
