ENGINE 111 in MODEL 638 with CODE (G40) Automatic transmission
Function
The engine control module PMS sends a signal to the automatic transmission control module with information about the engine torque and the position of the throttle valve.
In turn, the engine control module PMS receives a signal from the automatic transmission module by means of shifting. This signal causes the control module PMS to adjust the ignition angle briefly to "late".
This ensures the engine torque is reduced, guarantees smooth shifting and protects the transmission components.
In addition, the engine speed when the vehicle is stationary and a gear is engaged (R/D/1/2/3) is limited to 2720 rpm.
