The oil combination sensor (temperature, pressure) detects the current engine oil pressure and temperature and feeds these to the MR/PLD control module. The MR/PLD control unit transmits these values over the engine CAN databus to the drive control (FR) control module.
The values are sent on by the drive control (FR) control module over the vehicle CAN databus to the display on the instrument.
The engine oil temperature is analyzed in the MR/PLD control module for sensing the oil level.
