The control unit MR/PLN (A6) converts its requirements to the boost pressure and the rotational speed of the turbine (6), with help of the electric pneumatic converter (EPC) (Y87). The vacuum cell (2) which is combined with the electric pneumatic converter (EPC) (Y87), actuates the rotary valve (4) of the air relief element (7), similar to the actuation of a Wastegate valve. A regulated opening and closing of the cross-sections in the rotary valve (4) is therefore possible in any position.
The bores in the rotary valve (4) release, depending on the boost pressure or speed requirement of the turbine (6), a corresponding cross-section to the exhaust air pipe (5). This leads to a change of the exhaust gas ground current and therefore a rotational speed or boost pressure adaptation.

The rotary valve opens as of 2,0 bar boost pressure and is fully opened at 2,5 bar.
