The diagnostic module must be capable of recognizing signals and system errors and storing the corresponding DTC's. The CHECK ENGINE (MIL) indicator lamp is actuated when other conditions are fulfilled:
Actuation for the corresponding DTC enabled
Readiness function code set
Vehicle driven (for corresponding DTC)
Checks accomplished in corresponding number
