Task

Relieving injection pressure in injection line after the fuel injection process

Function

The return flow restrictor valve (11/26) is a piston valve. It is opened by the fuel pressure and closed by the valve spring (c). To relieve the pressure in the injection lines, the fuel flows back through the drilling of the return flow restrictor (e) when the return flow restrictor valve is closed (damping of fuel pressure waves at end of fuel injection process).
