Oil temperature sensor - location

The oil temperature sensor (B11) is located on the front side of the engine next to the oil filter housing.

Oil temperature sensor - task

The temperature if the engine oil is detected over the oil temperature sensor (B11) which is connected to the MR/PLN control unit . The measurement value is made available over the engine CAN bus to the drive control (FR) control unit and over the vehicle CAN bus to the other electronic systems.
