The coolant temperature sensor (B65) is located on the left side of the engine block next to the unit pump of cylinder 4.

Coolant temperature sensor, task

The engine control (MR) detects the coolant temperature by way of the coolant temperature sensor (B65) and derives the engine temperature from this.
