Task

Initiating the shutoff operation of the engine with ignition OFF

Function

Coil (19/2) of the electrohydraulic shutoff actuator (Y1/1) is energized:

The armature with sealing cone is attracted and the feed port (11/15a) to the high pressure chamber (d) of the distributor plunger (11/23) is thus opened.

Coil (19/2) of the electrohydraulic shutoff actuator (Y1/1) is deenergized:

The restoring spring pushes the armature and sealing cone back onto the valve seat (arrow). The feed port in the distributor head is closed.
