Function

During the rotary/lift movement of the distributor plunger (11/23) the feed port is closed and the fuel in the high pressure chamber (d) is pressurized. As the rotary movement continues, the distributor slot (11/23b) opens one of the 5 high pressure ports (11/15b). The fuel pressure which has built up in the high pressure chamber (d) and in the internal drilling (11/23d), opens the return flow restrictor valve (11/26) and the fuel is forced along the injection line to the injection nozzle.
