As of front axle end no. D 414504, front axle VL 2 axle model designation 730.713/714 with modified wheel hubs and additional protective ring is installed.
Up till now the wheel hub seal on the front axle has been provided by a radial seal ring fitted to the wheel hub.
In the modified wheel hub, the wheel hub is sealed by a radial seal ring fitted to the wheel hub and by a protective ring mounted to the axle journal.
When replacing the wheel hub, only the modified wheel hub with additional protective ring may be installed, even if a protective ring was not previously installed.
The modified wheel hub with additional protective ring is the only replacement part now available for delivery.
