Attach cables and wiring strands to existing cables and wiring strands using cable straps when routing. Avoid chafing points, if necessary install chafe guard. Cut off or tie back excess wires and leads.

1 Connect 8-pin plug (4) of the cable set to the water heater lead.

2 Expose the connector (17) of the vehicle blower on the right under the dash support paneling.
3 Route the blower actuation lead of the cable set with the black/violet and black lines (10, 11) along the front end dash support to the connector (17) exposed.

4 Separate connector (17) and remove lilac line (18) from the plug.
5 Connect lilac line (18) removed to the black line (11) of the cable set via a 1-pin connector.
6 Attach pin socket to the black/violet line (10) of the cable set and insert line into the plug in place of the lilac line (18).
7 Reconnect connector and close cover of the front end dash support again.

8 Open the cable bushing at the front end dash support above the battery.
9 Guide the timer lead of the cable set with the red, yellow, brown, blue/white and black/white lines (69, 15) though the open cable bushing into the cab and route behind the instrument cluster released to the installation location of the timer.
10 Screw down the instrument cluster and install the instrument cluster paneling.
11 Connect the 4-pin plug (20) to the timer lead of the cable set and connect plug housing (21) to the lead (22) of the timer (23):
Insulate and tie back the blue/white and black/white lines (9, 15) of the cable set
Attach pin sockets to the red, yellow and brown lines (6, 7, 8) of the cable set.
Attach plug contacts to the red, yellow, brown and blue lines of the timer.
Insert wires into plug and plug housing in accordance with timer connector assignment.

The graphic shows the line entry side of the plug and plug housing. Plug-in position 4 remains free and is intended for connecting the remote control option.

12 Connect plug and plug housing of timer and attach connector to existing lines or leads under the instrument panel.
13 For the connection to the auxiliary fuse holder (1) attach pin sockets to the red and red/white lines (12, 13, 14) of the cable set.
14 Insert lines of the cable set and lines of the connecting cable (2) into the chambers of the auxiliary fuse holder (1).

15 Install auxiliary fuse holder (1) and relay base (5) under the battery on the front end side wall.
For attaching the auxiliary fuse holder and the relay base, use the free holes in the side panel. If the specified installation area is occupied by other components, install auxiliary fuse holder and relay base on the engine compartment side wall above the battery.
16 Plug vehicle blower actuation relay (24) onto the relay base.
17 Insert fuses (25) in the auxiliary fuse holder:
Wire 2.5 red 20 A fuse
Wire 0.5 red 5 A fuse
Wire 4.0 red/white 25 A fuse
18 Fit cover of auxiliary fuse holder
19 Install connecting cable (2) of auxiliary fuse holder to the positive pole of the battery
20 Connect brown line (3) of cable set to a ground point in the area of the battery.
