Remove/install

Switch off ignition.

Disconnect ground lead from battery.

Remove bolts (1) from underside of steering wheel.

 Screw/bolt, airbag to steering wheel

Remove airbag with attached electrical lines from steering wheel.

Disconnect electrical connector (10) from airbag squib (R20).

 Installation: The electrical connector (10) must latch into place.

Separate electrical connector (11).

Install in the reverse order

Perform function test.

 The airbag indicator lamp should not come on when the wheels are fully turned in either direction.

Dispose of removed airbag properly.

Only if the airbag has been replaced.
