Remove/install

Switch off ignition.

Disconnect ground lead from battery.

Remove bolts (2) from underside of steering wheel.

 Screw/bolt, airbag to steering wheel

Remove airbag (1) with attached electric line from steering wheel.

Disconnect electrical connector from airbag (1).

 Installation: The electrical connector must latch into place.

Install in the reverse order

Perform function test.

 The airbag indicator lamp should not come on when the wheels are fully turned in either direction.

Dispose of removed airbag (1) properly.

Only if new airbag (1) was installed.
