Remove/install

Switch on ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)

Disconnect ground line to battery

Remove glove compartment (1)

Cover door sill and door sill molding with door sill protector



Remove right A-pillar paneling

Unscrew bolt (5) from instrument panel

Release and disconnect electrical connectors (arrow A) from front passenger airbag (2)

Release and disconnect electrical connectors (arrows B) from front passenger airbag (2)

Unscrew nuts (3)

 Nut, front passenger airbag unit to instrument panel

Lift instrument panel with assistant far enough to enable the front passenger airbag (2) to be removed


Do not lift instrument panel too high.
Otherwise, the instrument panel may be damaged.

Remove front passenger airbag (2) together with bracket (4)

Install in the reverse order



Check

Check and erase vehicle fault memory using diagnostic system

When replacing front passenger airbag (2).


