Remove/install

Remove C-pillar paneling

Remove screw/bolts (1) and bracket (2)

Disconnect battery ground line

Disconnect electrical connector (3)

 Installation:
Ensure correct engagement of electrical connector (3) at squib of belt retractor (4).
Otherwise function of the belt retractor (4) is not ensured.

Remove screw/bolt (5) at belt guide bracket

 Screw in rear seat belt guide bracket

Remove screw/bolt (6) from belt retractor (4) and remove belt retractor (4) with seat belt (7) from the vehicle

 Bolt, rear seat belt retractor

Install in the reverse order

Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) with diagnostic system

When replacing belt retractor (4).


