1 | Remove both rear seat cushions (2) | ||
2 | Remove rear center console (3) | ||
3 | Remove bolts (4) | ||

5 | Through left and right opening in reinforcement (8), move release lever (6) of backrest catches (7) to left and press rear seat backrest (1) forward | ||
6 | Pull out seat belts until rear seat backrest (1) can be removed, then lift rear seat backrest (1), guide out of bottom supports (10) and fold over forward until electrical connectors (9) of rear head restraints are accessible | ||
7 | Disconnect electrical connectors (9) of rear head restraints | ||
8 | Disconnect left rear seat heaterelectrical connector (X54/23) and right rear seat heater electrical connector (X54/24) | For vehicles with code (872) Electrically heated left and right rear seats | |
9 | Remove rear seat backrest (1) from vehicle | Carefully remove rear seat backrest (1) from the vehicle, otherwise damage may be caused to the rear door and in the entrance area. | |
Aid of helper required. | |||
