1 | Unlock fuel filler flap (5) on catch hook (arrow A) and remove from hinge (4) | ||
2 | Remove expansion rivets (3) | ||
3 | Coat sealing lip on tank filling recess (1) with lubricant and install over tank flap | | |

4 | Remove rubber plug (2) | ||
5 | Turn central locking bolt guide (7) 90° and remove | ||
6 | Insert drill bit Ø 3 mm (8) with shaft first max. up to 6 mm deep into the release hole (arrow B) and press catch hook (1.1) down by lifting drill bit and simultaneously pull tank filler recess (1) with extraction hook. Then perform procedure on release hole (arrow C, arrow D and then arrow E) | Extraction hook | |
7 | Take off tank filling recess (1) | ||
| Install | ||
8 | Clip tank filling recess (1) into fender | Ensure that tank cap central locking motor is seated correctly in fender. | |
9 | Insert central locking bolt guide (7) and turn 90° | ||
10 | Install rubber plug (2) | ||
11 | Install expansion rivet (3) | ||
12 | Install fuel filler flap (5) on hinge (4) | ||
13 | Lift rear vehicle with floor jack | ||
14 | Loosen fender paneling from bumper down to below tank filling recess (1) and lift out of fender and bumper using assembly wedge | Mounting wedge | |
15 | Guide rubber seal (9) over fitting (1.2) | Ensure that rubber seal (9) is seated correctly. | |
16 | Fasten fender paneling |
