Remove/install

Loosen hinge bracket trim piece (1) from trunk lid paneling (2) and slide downward

Unclip hazard warning triangle bracket (4)

Remove expansion rivets (5)

 Clip remover

Unclip trunk lid paneling (2) and remove until electrical connectors are visible

Release electrical connectors from ambient lamp on left warning lamp (6), ambient lamp and right warning lamp (7) and pushbutton switch (8) and disconnect

Release electrical connector (18) from remaining room partition pushbutton switch and disconnect

Remove trunk lid paneling (2)

 Installation: Install trunk lid paneling (2) only after adjusting trunk lid (11).

Remove taillamps from trunk lid (11)

Remove electrical wiring harnesses (9, 10) from trunk lid (11)

Loosen wiring harness passages (16) from trunk lid (11) and pull electrical wiring harnesses (9, 10) out of trunk lid (11)

Separate cable for emergency release from connecting point (T)

Unscrew bolts (12, 13) and remove trunk lid (11)

 Installation: Tighten bolts (12, 13) lightly by hand.

 Helper required.

 Nut/bolt, hinge lever to trunk lid

Unscrew nuts (17, 19) and remove trunk lid (11)

 Installation: Lightly tighten nuts (17, 19) by hand.

 Helper required.
