1 | Open engine hood | ||
2 | Unscrew bolts (5) and remove retaining hook (6) | Retaining hook (6) can be removed and replaced separately. | |
3 | Unscrew bolts (2) from engine hood catch (1) | ||
4 | Remove cover (7) from engine hood catch (1) | ||
5 | Disconnect electrical connector from right engine hood catch (1). | In vehicles up to 23.04.04 | |
6 | Disconnect electrical connector from left engine hood catch (1). | In vehicles as of 24.04.04 | |
7 | Remove engine hood catch (1) from radiator crossmember (3), unhook engine hood cable (4) and remove engine hood catch (1) | ||

8 | Insert engine hood catch (1) into radiator crossmember (3) and hook engine hood cable (4) into engine hood catch (1) | ||
9 | Connect electrical connector to right engine hood catch (1) | In vehicles up to 23.04.04 | |
10 | Connect electrical connector to left engine hood catch (1) | In vehicles as of 24.04.04 | |
11 | Install cover (7) on engine hood catch (1) | ||
12 | Clip engine hood cable (4) into radiator crossmember (3) | ||
13 | Tighten bolts (2) | | |
14 | Insert retaining hooks (6) into engine hood and tighten bolts (5) | | |
15 | Close engine hood | Check whether engine hood catches (1) lock correctly. For this purpose pull closed engine hood upward with a jerk. | |
16 | Check adjustment of engine hood, correct if necessary |
