Remove/install

Remove front grille

Partially remove front parts of the fender liner in the front fender in working area

It is not necessary to remove the front sections of the fender liner, only loosen them in the area of the bumper.

Disconnect electrical connector on left front bumper front wiring harness/wiring harness (X26/28) and disconnect

Unclip hose (1)

Remove bolts (2)

Remove bumper

For this purpose unclip bumper front fenders and remove with aid of second person.

Install in the reverse order

Check

Check daytime running lamp in bumper for proper function

Headlamps and exterior lights - function check

On vehicles with CODE L16 (halogen front fog lamp), also check front fog lamp.
