Remove right top A-pillar paneling

 Only loosen A-pillar paneling until the antenna lead can be removed and installed.

Remove right front floor covering

 Fold back only until footrest is exposed.

Remove storage compartment

Models 168, 170, 202, 208 only.

 Leave timer switch with bracket and wiring harness in storage compartment.

Remove ashtray housing in center console

Disconnect stationary heater antenna (A2/27) from windshield

 Installation: Degrease adhering surface with cleaning cloth.

Loosen headliner between inside rearview mirror and right A-pillar

 Installation: Push antenna lead behind roof trim with a plastic wedge.

Remove antenna lead (4) up to Telestart receiver (A6/1)

 Installation: Wrap antenna lead with felt strips.

Disconnect antenna lead (4) from WISI connector (A2/27x1) at Telestart receiver (A6/1)

 Installation: Tie excessive antenna lead length back in a ring with a dia. of at least 50 mm.

Install in the reverse order



Switch heater unit (A6) on with Telestart transmitter (A8/3)

 When the heater unit's recirculating pump and combustion air blower start up and the fuel metering pump begins to operate, switch heater unit off.
