Risk of explosion caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

Remove cover of air conditioning system (roof-mounted)

 Observe accident prevention regulations when working in the roof area.

Close both manually operated shutoff valves (1)

 The manually operated shutoff valves (1) are located under the protective nuts.

Drain air conditioning system

Empty closed-off circuit of filter drier (2)
only via filling valve (3).

 Installation: Evacuate closed-off circuit of the filter drier

via filling valve:



Evacuate air conditioning system, leak test

 By closing off the filter drier (2) from the rest of the air conditioning circuit, it is not necessary to refill refrigerant.

If the filter drier (2) has been frequently replaced, it will be necessary to extract and refill the refrigerant:



Detach refrigerant lines (4) from filter drier (2)



Compressor oils (specification 362.0)

 Installation:
Use new sealing rings
.

 Coat sealing rings with compressor oil before installation in accordance with Specifications for Operating Fluids.

Unfasten and detach clamp (5)

Detach filter drier (2)

 Installation:
Check packaging of filter drier for signs of damage. Dispose of any filter driers with damaged packaging.
The filter drier must be installed immediately after opening the packaging.
Observe flow direction of filter drier.

Install in the reverse order
