Remove evaporator unit

Remove bituminous insulating tape

Installation: Carefully wrap bituminous insulating tape around the area surrounding the expansion valve (6), evaporator and the evaporator connecting lines (8).

Remove refrigerant line (3) between solenoid valve and expansion valve (6)

Remove bolts (2) and remove condensation pan (1)

Installation: Seal condensation pan (1) using sealing compound.

Remove bolts (7) and remove expansion valve (6) from evaporator connecting lines (8)

Remove anti-icing switch (4)

Installation: Do not kink sensor for anti-icing switch (5) and insert it carefully into evaporator. Ensure that the rubber grommet is properly seated.

Remove humidity protection sleeve from the evaporator

Installation: Use new protective sleeve.

Drill out fastening rivets for evaporator and detach evaporator from the evaporator mounting plate

2 rivets each on the left and the right next to the blower, 2 rivets each on the left and right next to the cold air outlet and 4 rivets on the top side of the evaporator mounting plate.

Install in the reverse order
