Danger!

Risk of explosion from welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning from inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been discharged.

Detach protective caps from the pressure-side testing and filling valve (11) and from the suction-side testing and filling valve (12)

Connect pressure and suction line of the air conditioning extraction and recycling unit to the pressure-side testing and filling valve (11) and to the suction-side testing and filling valve (12)

Refer to the operating instructions for the air conditioning extraction and recycling unit.

Ensure that the pressure-side shutoff valve (3) and the suction-side shutoff valve (4) are unscrewed completely.

Extract refrigerant using the pressure-side testing and filling valve (11) and the suction-side testing and filling valve (12)

Slowly open the valves at the pressure gauge of the air conditioning extraction and recycling unit.

Note the display information on the air conditioning extraction and recycling unit.

Extract the refrigerant until there is no noticeable increase in weight of the extracted refrigerant.
