Remove

1

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Remove glove compartment housing.

Remove fuse and relay module from crossmember and move out of working area with attached electric lines.

Remove screws (2) and remove right air mixing flap actuator motor (5) from air conditioner housing (3).

 When removing the right air mixing flap actuator motor (5), the air mixing flap drops to its end position, which corresponds to the coldest temperature setting.
Ensure that the spacer (4) remains at the air mixing flap.

Disconnect electrical connector (1) and remove right air mixing flap actuator motor (5).



Check

Twist the air mixing flap at spacer (4) by hand in a clockwise direction up to the end stop and then release.

 The air mixing flap must drop to its end position by itself.

If there is sluggishness or damage.



Replace air conditioner housing (3).

Install

Connect electrical connector (1) at right air mixing flap actuator motor (5).

Switch on ignition.

Set automatic climate control to manual operation and adjust the temperature on the front passenger side to the lowest value.

 The blower must be activated.
The right air mixing flap actuator motor (5) moves into the position which corresponds to the end position of the air mixing flap.

Align right air mixing flap actuator motor (5) at spacer (4) and position at air conditioner housing (3).

Ensure that the spacer (4) is correctly seated.

If the spacer (4) has been accidentally pulled off the guide during removal, this has to be pushed on again. When doing so, as shown, ensure the correct installation position (arrow A) relative to the actuator gate (6).
The right air mixing flap actuator motor (5) is positioned via the guide pin (7). When doing so, the sector gear (8) must engage in the right air mixing flap actuator motor (5).

Tighten screws (2).



Check

Perform function test on right air mixing flap actuator motor (5).

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).
