Remove/install

Retrieve radio code in VeDoc (Vehicle Documentation) or ask customer.

If the radio (A2) is not replaced.

Remove all data storage mediums from the radio (A2).

If the radio (A2) is replaced.

Switch off radio (A2) and remove transmitter key.

Release radio (A2) with the radio disassembly pins (arrows) and remove from the instrument panel until the electrical connectors on the back of the device are accessible.

Release and disconnect electrical connectors at the back of the device and remove radio (A2).

 The number of electrical connectors depends on the radio variant (A2).

Read off and note parts identification number (2), model/radio device number (3) and barcode number (4) on the adhesive label (1) of the new radio (A2).

If the radio (A2) is replaced.

Install in the reverse order.

Commission radio (A2).

If the radio (A2) is replaced or if the software has to be updated because of radio (A2) malfunctions.
