Remove

Remove roof lining and place in vehicle.

Unscrew nuts (1).

Carefully cut through seal (2) of additional brake lamp (3) along entire length.


Do not carry out any lifting movements.
Otherwise damage will occur at the additional brake lamp (3), the vehicle paint or the roof.

 The additional brake lamp (3) and seal (2) are inseparably connected to each other and cannot be replaced separately.

Unclip retaining clips (4) at roof.

If installed.

Take off additional brake lamp (3) far enough until electrical connector (5) is accessible.

Disconnect electrical connector (5) and remove additional brake lamp (3).



Install

Remove residue of seal (2) and soiling in installation area of additional brake lamp (3) at roof.

Assembly cleaner

Attach retaining clips (4) to additional brake lamp (3).

 The retaining clips (4) are not included in the package contents of the additional brake lamp (3) and must additionally be ordered.

Connect electrical connector (5).

Perform function check on additional brake lamp (3).

Remove backing sheet from seal (2) of new additional brake lamp (3).

Align guides (7) of additional brake lamp (3) relative to corresponding openings in roof and press on additional brake lamp (3) at roof.


Do not change installation position of additional brake lamp (3) after it has been pressed on.
Otherwise there will be damage to the seal (2).

Screw nuts (1) tight.

Attach roof lining.
