Preparation

Prepare adhesive cartridge.

Remove

Determine height of the rear glass cover (1) relative to the rear window (3) and panoramic sliding sunroof (2) and note.

Remove antenna.

Remove left and right drip rail.

Cut elastomer frame (4) off the rear glass cover (1) with a suitable knife.

 Cut off elastomer frame (4) only at the rear.

Cover side roof panelings with suitable tape.

Fold sealing lip upward at the rear window (3) and fix in place with suitable tape (5).

Attach suction lifter to the rear glass cover (1).

Risk of injury due to snapping or warming up of cutting wire and due to splinters when cutting out glued panoramic roofs

Wear cut-proof gloves and safety glasses.

Cut out rear glass cover (1) with cutting wire and remove from vehicle.


Carefully insert cutting wire.
Otherwise the adjacent components can be damaged.

 Helper required.

 The rear glass cover (1) cannot be removed in a non-destructive manner and, therefore, must usually be replaced.



Install

Prepare body flange for rear glass cover (1) for installation.

Prepare new rear glass cover (1) for installation.

Apply adhesive material for the rear glass cover (1).

Install rear glass cover (1) with a helper.

 After inserting and before aligning the rear glass cover (1), remove the tape (5).
Observe dimensions noted when aligning.

Install left and right drip rail.
