Removing and installing rear door liner

Removing, installing

Open crank window

Reach into opening (arrow) with suitable tool and unclip door handle half (2).

Unscrew Torx screws (3)

Remove window crank (4)

 On vehicles with mechanical window lift mechanism

Press door liner (1) off from bottom, front and rear of inner door panel with assembly wedge

 Position assembly wedge directly to clips (8).



Lift door liner (1) out of sealing rail and simultaneously pull door liner away from inner door panel

Unclip control cable (5) from door liner (arrow) and unhook at inner door actuation

 The control cable should catch visibly at the door liner (arrow)

Unclip locking knob (6) from door liner (1) and pull out

 Carefully press retaining catches (arrows) together.

Installation: The locking knob should catch audibly in the door liner.

Disconnect power window connector (7)

 On vehicles with power windows.

Remove door liner (1) and position on clean subsurface



Inspecting

Check door foil on inner door panel and clips (8)

 Replace damaged door foil or clips.

Check sheet metal clip nuts (9) on inner door panel

 Replace damaged sheet metal clip nuts.

Install in the reverse order
