4 | Open roof hatch and remove weatherstrip (3) from roof hatch cutout | On vehicles with code (D45) Electric glass tilting/sliding roof or code (D27) Electric steel tilting/sliding roof, it is necessary to remove the cover from the sliding roof. | |
5 | Remove interior lamps (1) | Pry interior lamps (1) out of headliner front section (11), disconnect electrical connector and remove interior lamps (1). | |

6 | Remove paneling from A-pillar (8) | ||
7 | Expose electrical lines on A-pillar | ||
8 | Remove sun visors (5) | ||
9 | Unscrew bolts below sun visors (5) from headliner front section (11) | ||
10 | Remove covers on stowage boxes (4) form headliner front section (11) | ||
11 | Remove expansion rivets (2) from headliner front section (11) | | |
12 | Loosen shaped gasket (10) on door cutout in area of headliner front section (11) | ||
13 | Remove cover on center roof speaker (6) | Do not remove covers on left roof speaker (7) and right roof speaker. | |

14 | Remove center roof speaker | ||
15 | Remove headliner front section (11) | Loosen electrical lines from headliner front section (11) | |
16 | Disconnect electrical connectors from switch modules and modular tachographs (MTCO) at rear of headliner front section (11) | ||
17 | Remove headliner front section (11) | ||
18 | Install in the reverse order | ||
19 | Check time and date of tachographs, adjust if necessary |
