Prepare C-pillar paneling for installation of speaker

Risk of injury caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts

Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

Fabricate template for installing speakers in C-pillar trim

Position new paneling (1) in area for speaker with suitable spacers, e.g. foam rubber or styrofoam pads

 Do not use hard or sharp-edged objects.
Otherwise the paneling (1) can be damaged.

Drill 5 mm openings at hole markings (2) for pins on speaker cover grill (5).

Insert drilling template (3) into recess in paneling (1).

Predrill at center drill point (4).

 The drill bit should have the same diameter as the center drill of the keyhole saw.

Remove drilling template (3) from paneling (1).

Saw out cutout for speaker in paneling (1) with keyhole saw.

 Drill keyhole saw with 76 mm diameter.

Deburr holes.

Install speaker cover grill (5) on paneling (1).

Install retainers (6) for points on speaker cover grill (5).

10

Install speaker on paneling (1).

11

Create cutout in insulation for speaker and install on paneling (1).
